Two books translated by me were published in time for Christmas:

  • A Palace in Sicily, by Jean-Louis Remilleux, with stunning photographs, in which the TV producer describes how he bought an 18th century palazzo, lovingly restored it and furnished it with treasures from all the best antique dealers in Italy
  • Boulevard Paris 13, by Mehdi Ben Cheikh, a tribute to the Paris gallery owner’s latest large-scale street art project, an open-air museum which can even be enjoyed by passengers in the overhead metro. A magnificent edition, with no expense spared to ensure superb quality in the reproductions.

2021

In April, my son James and I put the finishing touches to a collaborative translation of La nature au cœur, in which a leading French winegrower, a highly successful producer of biodynamic wines, recounts his life’s journey and his vision as an environmentally committed entrepreneur. Nature at Heart appeared in 2022.

I translated a  book on  arts and crafts and fine cuisine in Champagne.  In The Soul of Champagne, a top  French chef recounts his passion for gastronomic cuisine as one among other arts and crafts. Published the same year.

In 2021, the descendants of the Comte de Roquefeuil asked for my help in the preparation of the bilingual edition of his innovative diary in strip cartoon form of the war years, the Illustrated Chronicle of the Second World War. Published in 2022.
